After winning 6 straight games and then losing Sunday night to the Buffalo Bisons, Tuesday night, the Worcester Red Sox were in Rochester for game one of six against the Red Wings.
At the top of the first, Chad De La Guerra scored to make it a 10, Worcester lead.
In the Bottom of the third Donovan Casey hit his first homer of the season to make it a 1-1, tie game.
In the bottom of the third Jake Noll scored to make it a 1-2, Rochester lead.
At the top of the fourth, Jhonny Pereda hit a single and got two RBI (Franchy Cordero and Joey Meneses) both scored to make it 3-2, Worcester lead.
In the bottom of the sixth Rochester would take the lead 3-7, with Derek Dietrich, Ali Castillo, Humberto Arteaga, Jake Noll and Daniel Palka all scoring.
Top of the seventh, Jeremy Rivera hit his 8th double and got an RBI (Grant Williams) to make it a 4-7, Rochester lead.
Top of the seventh, Franchy Cordero hit a single and got an 2 RBI (Chad De La Guerra and Jeremy Rivera) to make it a 6-7, Rochester lead.
At the top of the 8th is when the Worcester Red Sox took over this game.
First, Jett Bandy hit a single and got an RBI (Johan Mieses) to make it a 7-7, tie game.
Then Jhonny Pereda scored to make it an 8-7, Worcester lead by one.
Jeremy Rivera then hit a single and got an RBI (Jett Bandy) to make it a 9-7, Worcester game.
The final in Rochester was Worcester 9 and Rochester 7. Worcester took game one and will be back for game two Wednesday night.
