WooSox Beat RailRiders 7-2

By Tiffany Williams –

In Moosic, Pennsylvania or Lackawanna County at PNC Field, the Worcester Red Sox played the RailRiders Tuesday night.

After winning the last three at home, the Worcester Red Sox claimed the first of six at PNC Field beating the Rail Riders 7-2.

The first two innings were controlled by the Worcester Red Sox with Jeremy Rivera, Jeter Downs and Ryan Fitzgerald each scoring to make it a 3-0, WooSox game.

In the bottom of the second, Rob Brantly scored for the RailRiders to make it a 3-1, WooSox game but Jett Bandy had the answer for that by knocking out his third homer of the season to make it a 4-1, WooSox game.

In the bottom of the 6th, Luke Voit hit his fourth homer of the season for the RailRiders to make it a 4-2, WooSox game. Have no fear because Ryan Fitzgerald was there and he knocked out his first homer of the year and at the same time getting an RBI (Jett Bandy) to make it a 6-2, WooSox game.

To put the nail in the coffin and make it a 7-2, WooSox game, Jeremy Rivera had the last laugh (I mean run).
