Former Worcester Assistant District Attorney Appointed Acting Secretary of Public Safety and Security

With the retirement of Secretary of Public Safety and Security Tom Turco, Governor Charlie Baker announced current Undersecretary for Law Enforcement Terrence Reidy will become Acting Secretary of Public Safety and Security.

Reidy has served as Undersecretary for Law Enforcement within the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security since 2019, where he has provided strategic leadership to the Massachusetts State Police, the Municipal Police Training Committee, and the Office of Grants and Research.

Reidy also served as a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Hate Crimes, was an Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and Assistant District Attorney in Worcester and Suffolk Counties.
