Around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday night officers assigned to the Worcester Police Vice Squad executed a search warrant at 1040 Main Street.
Prior to executing the search warrant, officers conducted surveillance of the target location, the area around the target location and individuals in that area.
Worcester Police confirmed Wednesday night, “Officers detained three individuals who were in the residence, and began the search. Officers located a loaded Remington shotgun, multiple bags of what appeared to be cocaine, a bag of what appeared to be heroin, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.”
Jahaira Colon, 42, and David Aviles, 41, both have been arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 37-99 Grams, Possession of a Class A Substance with intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony, and Improper Storage of a Firearm. They will be arraigned in court.
Indictments and criminal information and complaints are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
