Cherry Valley Man Indicted For Murder Of Jehlon Rose In Worcester

Thursday night, Worcester Police arrested Dana Gaul, 43, of 118 McCarthy St. Cherry Valley. Gaul was arrested on a straight warrant for murder.

On November 24, 2020 Worcester Police responded to a report of a fight at 96 Water Street. Upon arrival officers located Jehlon Rose stabbed multiple times.  Rose was transported to an area hospital to be treated and died three days later as result of his injuries.

Detectives with the Worcester Police Department investigated this incident and during their investigation, they determined that Dana Gaul was the person who stabbed Rose.

During their investigation detectives were able to identify Gaul through video footage from the area, cell phone video and images and eyewitnesses.

This week a grand jury sitting at Worcester County Superior Court returned a secret indictment for Gaul.

On Friday, Gaul appeared in Worcester County Superior Court where the secret indictment was unsealed. The court ordered Gaul to held without bail following his arraignment.

Gaul is due to be back in Worcester County Superior Court on July 1.
