Welcome to week 4, the New England Patriots have traveled to Kansas City, MO to play defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
This game had been scheduled for Sunday but was rescheduled after quarterback Cameron Newton tested positive over the weekend for COVID-19.
Going into this weeks game, the Patriots are not playing an easy opponent. This will be the fourth straight season that the Patriots and the Chiefs have met in a regular season game.
The three previous matchups in 2017, 18 and 19 were all played at Gillette Stadium. In 17, the Patriots fell to the Chiefs 27-42. In 18 the Patriots won only by three points, 43-40. last season in 2019, the Patriots again fell to the Chiefs, that game 16-23.
Now the last time the Patriots played in a regular season game at Arrowhead Stadium was September 29, 2014. That was a Monday night game and it was an ugly game as the Patriots fell to the Chiefs 14-41.
Last Wednesday, Devin McCourty said, “This is the classic do your job game” and Edelman put it best when he said, “If you like competition, this is the game that you want to play in.”
