Over the past few weeks throughout the city of Worcester, free walk-up COVID-19 testing has been available at different locations.
This week free walk-up COVID-19 testing will continue to be available for Worcester residents.
On Monday testing will be done at the Main South Community Development Corporation (875 Main St.) from 12-4 p.m.
Testing will also be available on Wednesday at Lakeside Apartments (42 Lakeside Ave.) from 2-6 p.m. and on Thursday at Community Health Link (72 Jaques Ave.) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
City officials say that no appointment is necessary for the free walk-up COVID-19 testing however when going, you must wear a mask but if you don’t have a mask, don’t worry free masks as well as free hand sanitizer will be offered at each testing site.
Also available at each testing site will be flu shots for people with insurance.
As of Thursday, city officials reported 5,803 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Worcester with 87 new cases reported just last week.
Between the two major hospital systems (UMass Memorial Health Care and Saint Vincent Hospital) in Worcester, city officials confirm that as of Wednesday there was a combined total of 20 COVID-positive in-patients and 5 total COVID-positive ICU patients.
