On Monday Morning Worcester Police responded to a report of a home invasion on Richard St. A female contacted WPD and informed dispatchers that she had been watching video on her phone of her house and that someone had a gun to her boyfriend.
Officers were dispatched however before they arrived the suspect had fled. With a description of the vehicle, officers in the area were able to locate the vehicle in the area of Richard and Cambridge Streets. When an officer attempted to pull the vehicle over the operator of the vehicle drove away. Officers continued to follow the vehicle which eventually came to a stop in the area of Marble at Main St.
The operator of the vehicle continued to flee from police however he was eventually taken into custody on Marble Street. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Juan Toro, 25, of GBV Ave.
From the vehicle officers recovered what appeared to be a black handgun however it was a BB gun. During a search of Toro officers recovered Various pills that he did not have a prescription for.
Police are still investigating the home invasion however Toro has been charged with failure to stop for the police, operating to endanger, operating a motor vehicle without a license, resisting Arrest, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, possession of class E, possession with Intent to distribute class E, and possession of class C.
