At Commerce Bank Field at Foley Stadium on Friday, South D was physically in the game but I believe they came in sleeping. Doherty was all in Friday, playing tough on D not allowing South to get in the end zone. On offense Jaeden Baxter, Ezra Collins and Dan Sheeran were untouchable and Doherty shutdown South 28-0.
On Saturday back at Commerce Bank Field at Foley Stadium, North who hasn’t won a game yet this year was dominated by Blackstone-Millville Regional in the first half. In the second half Tyler Burns for North came out wide awake with a 42-yard fumble return. Kimali Olivo form North caught a 66-yard pass from Christian Hines for a touchdown. At the end the day, Blackstone-Millville Regional played their game tough on both sides of the ball and won 42-13.
Also on Saturday, Valley Tech beat Worcester Tech 38-6, St. Peter-Marian beat Burncoat 28-8 and Gardner shutdown David Prouty 42-0 while Tantasqua shutdown Auburn 20-0.
In college football, Assumption beat Bentley 45-42, WPI beat Maine Maritime 51-20, Apprentice beat Anna Maria 35-20, Husson beat Becker 28-12, Mass. Maritime beat Worcester State 28-13, Plymouth State shutdown Fitchburg State 42-0 and Mardy Gilyard’s Bison fell to the Golden Bears 30-19.
